Volunteers are the key to our success.
There are many opportunities to become involved in numerous areas of the Chamber. Below are listed a few of our volunteer committees. For more information on joining one of these committees and joining a group of people who work to make a difference, please use the form.
Committees are a great way to contribute while developing relationships with those who share common interests. Even if you choose not to serve on a committee, we encourage you to become familiar with the activities of the committees and how they can benefit your business both directly and indirectly.
- Governmental Affairs – Represents and informs the business community on federal, state and local government issues. Develops and maintains relationships with elected officials.
- Leadership Midland – A program designed to give participants a glimpse into the different components of the community including non-profits, education, city government, etc. Each years class is made familiar with opportunities for leadership within the community and equipped with skills for future leadership.
- Education Committee – Increases and expands communications and working relationships between businesses and educational communities through school/business partnerships. Conducts activities that directly benefit our teachers, students, and community.
- Ambassadors (M-Squad) – Highly visible volunteer representatives of the Chamber at public events such as ribbon cuttings and ground breakings. They are the front-line of our Chamber and community.
- President’s Club – A "contact committee" where members assist with retention, learn about new businesses, have the opportunity to visit with prospects and sell Chamber membership.
