(TITLE OF PROGRAM HAS CHANGED FROM ONE SUBMITTED EARLIER) Tuesday, October 17 Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Series Bill Kemp “Enhancing Your Skills During Oilfield Booms and Busts” 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Bill Kemp, a Houston based Strategic Account Manager for PetroSkills, will be guest speaker at the Petroleum Museum’s October 17th Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture. He is responsible for client interaction for workforce competency development and technical training in the oil and gas industry. He emphasizes the vital need to keep learning and enhancing our value to current and future employers and clients. His presentation will cover the importance and numerous opportunities for improving our technical, operations and soft skills. PetroSkills is a training provider for the Oil and Gas Industry that offers training in disciplines that range from upstream, downstream, to occupational safety and health, developing competent petroleum professionals worldwide. With a complete spectrum of solutions, courses and learning tools, PetroSkills is developing competent petroleum professionals in all technical processes, spanning the industry’s entire value chain. The PetroSkills Alliance was founded in 2001 by Shell, BP and OGCI, to provide “important but not unique” competency based training. Since then it has evolved into an industry-driven, industry-approved program that spans the industry. Today, with more than 30 members representing more than 40% of the world’s oil production, the PetroSkills Alliance is focused on meeting the challenges of the Big Crew Change and a rapidly changing hydrocarbon resource base. As the oil and gas industry’s partner, their mission is to deliver consistent, high quality, learning and development training and programs to build competent petroleum professionals. Auditorium doors open at 11:00 am for this free event; the program starts at 11:30 am. Drinks and dessert are provided.
