and study guide (after membership in AAPC)
OVERVIEW Prepares students to take the AAPC – CPC examination
Make evaluation and management coding and auditing easy
Improve understanding and selection of modifiers
Code and audit surgical notes more effectively
Learn the correct coding principles for all specialties
Ensure proper coding for your surgery, radiology,
pathology and medicine services
The public attendee is responsible for:
1. AAPC Membership
2. Coding books: CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS (most current versions)
3. 2 letters of recommendation from employers to confirm 2 years experience in coding
If you do not have 2 years, you will be an apprentice CPC “ACPC”.
These letters must to be sent (snail mail or fax) to the AAPC prior to the exam.
4. Must be registered by October 21, 2016
