PERMIAN BASIN, TX – September 22, 2016 - Basin PBS announced today the upcoming free
advance-screening event centered around the Broadway hit created by Lin-Manuel Miranda,
Hamilton’s America. Basin PBS welcomes the Permian Basin to a backstage pass to see how
this stage production was put together as well as get a peek inside the musical. Prior to the
screening, the station will offer a welcome reception, Odessa College Music/Theatre students
will perform the opening number to Hamilton’s America and UTPB Associate History Professor
Chad Vanderford will provide a history of Hamilton. The event will take place on Tuesday,
October 11 at 6:30pm in the Rea-Greathouse Hall at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts

Hamilton’s America is just part of the 2016 PBS Arts Fall Festival lineup just announced. This
year’s programming offers a diverse slate of performing arts specials that will surely appeal to
every kind of audience. This year’s lineup consists of compelling performances from GREAT
PERFORMANCES and LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER as well as BILL MURRAY: THE MARK
TWAIN PRIZE and ALAN CUMMING SINGS SAPPY SONGS and many more. The 2016 PBS Arts
Fall Festival kicks off Friday, October 21, 2016.
