Event Description:
On Saturday, April 8, the Midland College (MC) Lady Chaps softball team, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals invite two- and four-legged members of the community to a FREE lunch and softball game. The tailgate party with burgers begins at 11:30 a.m. Then at 1:00 p.m., the Lady Chaps softball team will take on rivals Odessa College Lady Wranglers. All activities will take place at the Midland College Softball Field located behind the Fox Science Building on the main MC campus, 3600 N. Garfield.
Dogs should be kept leashed while on the MC campus. If you don’t have a four-legged companion, Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals will have some on hand for you to meet.
Between now and April 7, members of the Lady Chaps softball team and Phi Theta Kappa will be accepting donations of food, blankets, collars and toys for the Lone Star Sanctuary. Donations can be left at the MC main campus in Room 134 of the Physical Education Building or in the atrium of the Marie Hall Academic Building.
While at the softball game on April 8, you are also invited to enjoy family activities in Beal Plaza near the Scharbauer Student Center on the Midland College campus. Children, teens and adults will have an opportunity to participate in FREE college information sessions, tours, games and children’s activities. “See and say ‘sí’ to MC” at the college’s annual See/Sí MC event between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
