VIVID: THE STORY OF COLOR IS EXPERIMENTAL, IMMERSIVE AND POWERFUL

On Friday, April 28, two incredible dance companies will come together to tell “the story of color” in an innovative and powerful, never-seen-before way. Vivid, sponsored by Atmos Energy, David H. Arrington and do432, is the story of color that will be told through the medium of dance and instrumental music. BANDALOOP, a pioneer in vertical dance performance, seamlessly weaves dynamic physicality, intricate choreography and the art of climbing to turn the dance floor on its side. Jordan Johnson Productions, with the use of props, elaborate costumes and special effects, energetically brings color to life through movement and expression. “We perform the world over site,” said BANDALOOP executive director Thomas Cavanaugh. “Reactively bringing dance to new audiences every day, but there is no better place to reveal our dance than a glass tower on the streets of Midland for Vivid: The Story of Color and the proud people of west Texas.
