Accepting donations of $1 or more during checkout. The money will go to the Red Cross. United Family has pledged to match donations collected up to $10,000.

Customers can add $1, $3 or $5 to their grocery bill as a donation
Donations will support the American Red Cross for Texas Flood and Hurricane Relief, The Salvation Army and Feeding Texas

Accepting donations at its store,. Owner Chris Cato says they’re taking “anything you might take for granted,” such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and other toiletries. He also said kids’ clothing, underwear and shoes are also important

Collecting supplies to be taken to Hurricane Harvey victims and their animals
Inside Midland’s PetSmart, 4206 W. Loop 250 N. A tax receipt can be provided. The first shipment of donated items will go out Friday.
For dogs and cats: Crates (collapsible wire preferred as space is limited), dog and cat food, bowls, blankets, towels, leashes and collars, beds, gallon water, cat litter, kitten milk
For horses: Lead ropes, halters, buckets, hay nets, salt blocks, fly spray, peppermints, medicine (ulcergard, betadine, fungal treatment).

University of Texas of the Permian Basin
The West Texas Food Bank will have bins set up at all gates. Accepted items are:
- Canned foods (soups, vegetables, meats, fish, peanut butter, jelly, fruits or fruit cups). No glass jars/ bottles will be accepted.
- Dry foods (cereals, toaster pastries, powdered milk).
- Cleaning supplies (bleach, paper towels, disinfecting wipes, soaps).
- Personal care items (face-cleansing wipes, baby wipes, diapers, feminine hygiene products).
- Baby food and formula
Texans Care/NS Trucking will have trailers set up near the Falcon Tail Gate Area to collect cases of water.
The Red Cross will take cash donations.
