Midland Center
Located in the heart of downtown
Midland, the Midland Center provides the flexibility to
accommodate meetings, conventions, trade shows, banquets,
and any other possible need for space. Each year the
facility hosts hundreds of events from small and intimate to
large and formal.
The Exhibit Hall offers 12,500 square
feet of column free exhibit space, capable of accommodating
up to 900 for a banquet or 1,200 reserved seats for a
concert or seminar. For trade show and display needs, the
Exhibit Hall can be customized to accommodate up to 79
ten-foot square booths. The Hall can be subdivided into
three smaller areas and utilized simultaneously, affording
comfort and privacy for smaller events.
Behind the Exhibit Hall, the Center
offers a private Hospitality Room which can serve as a
private dressing or lounge area and is perfect for
performers, guest speakers or exhibitors.
On the Center's lower level, four
meeting rooms are available for gatherings from 20 to 200.
The two (2) larger meeting rooms are individually equipped
with sound systems for your amplification needs and all
rooms are equipped with projection screens.
The Midland Center offers a varied list
of caterers, preparing dishes that range from elegant,
continental cuisine to delicious, down-home barbeque. A list
of providers of alcoholic beverages is also available.
Adjacent to the Center, the Plaza is an
open-air amphitheater amidst beautiful landscaping. When the
event calls for an outdoor setting, the Centennial Plaza
provides an ideal location for public festivals, family
reunions, and private weddings. The Plaza is home for
several festivals throughout the year including the Arts
Assembly’s annual Celebration of the Arts and the Hispanic
Chamber’s Mex-Tex Fiesta, as well as outdoor concerts
featuring such artists as Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed,
and Jerry Jeff Walker.
Midland is an uncommon blend of
cosmopolitan features without the congestion and
hustle-bustle of larger cities. Our community provides an
environment attractive to individuals of all ages. Enhance
your conference or event with attractions such as the
American Airpower Heritage Museum, The Petroleum Museum,
Midland Community Theater, Midland-Odessa Symphony &
Chorale, The Midland RockHounds professional AA baseball
team, golf, tennis, and several major shopping centers. When
your event calls for a pre or post trip, allow the Midland
Convention and Visitors Bureau to help you make arrangements
for a variety of Big Bend National Parks excursions.
For conventions, meetings or social
functions, the Midland Center and its staff are ready to
help with the details, ensuring success. Your next event
will be truly special... at the center of the Permian
