Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Series: John Trischitti, III – Midland County Library

Known in the library world as 'Mr.T', Trischitte is an early literacy advocate who is passionate about how reading can change lives, like it did for him. He oversaw the expansion of a branch library from a 2,500 sq. building into the more than 33,000 sq. ft. The Centennial Library facility was recognized by Library Journal as an ‘Innovative Public Library’ and ‘Destination Library. He was the Texas Library Association-Texas Librarian of the Year and has given a TED Talk on the social impacts of illiteracy. He is a frequent speaker and program presenter on literacy, leadership and best practices for public libraries.
