Real Talk
Event Description:
The Permian Basin Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is bringing Real Talk, a panel event to inform parents, teachers, providers, and anyone involved in the life of a youth in our region about drugs in the environment of our youth. There will be a Real Talk in both Odessa and Midland. Events are open to any adult in the public. We highly encourage parents and those involved in the life of a youth attend. Panelists are people in recovery who will share their stories. They will also provide tips on effectively communicating with youth and things they wish would have been done to intervene. There will be a Q&A session for the audience to ask the panelists any questions they may have. Local researchers will also provide data on substance use and local agencies will be present to provide resources.
