Event Description:
The 2019 Freedom Run will be the best yet! This year's race will feature a 5K & 10K ON JULY 4TH. Kick off Independence day through a great family race with some local competitive runners in attendance.
The Freedom Run exists to provide scholarships for City of Midland Employee dependents who are going to college. The Midland Municipal Employee Scholarship Fund was created on April 20, 1995. MMESF has given approximately $190,250.00 in scholarships since its inception. The purpose of the Midland Municipal Employee Scholarship Fund (MMESF) is to provide financial assistance in the form of a scholarship to dependents of City of Midland employees.
Let’s celebrate our freedom and those who help maintain our freedom, like police officers and firefighters, by giving back to their kids’ futures!

Runner Shirts will receive the 2019 Freedom Run design on a Red Shirt
First Responders and Military will receive the 2019 Freedom Run design on a Blue Shirt
Volunteers will receive the 2019 Freedom Run design on a White Shirt

6:30 AM - Registration / Packet Pick Up Close
7:00 AM - 10K
7:05 AM - 5K
Course: 5K - one loop through surrounding residential neighborhoods, 10K - two loops of the 5K route.
Packet Pick-Up:
Wednesday, July 3rd @ Midland Athletic Company from 10 - 6 pm
New Location Address: 3326 N Midkiff Rd, Midland, TX 79705 - Next to flatbelly

Parking:
Designated areas at First Baptist Midland, Memorial Stadium
