Midland Festival Ballet presents Vive La France! Accompanied by the Midland Festival Ballet Orchestra Conducted by Dr. Keith Graumann Join Midland Festival Ballet for a night in France featuring three ballets! Les Mimes This award-winning, comical work choreographed by Midland's own Pearl Wamsley features mimes and music by George Gershwin, Erik Satie, and more! It is a treat for all ages! Flames of Paris Step back in time to the French Revolution. Showcasing special guests Chun Wai Chan and Monica Gomez of the Houston Ballet, this classical pas de deux is an outstanding display of virtuosity and strength. Gaîté Parisienne Experience the dizzying spins, whirling turns, and high kicks of lively cancan dancers in a Paris café. Special guests from Ballet San Antonio and Colorado Ballet accompany MFB’s dancers in Susan Treviño’s ballet set to the well-known score of Jacques Offenbach.
