• Hurricane Harvey Adopt-A-Chamber:

  • As you know, many of our fellow Texans experienced devastating losses during hurricane Harvey. While the media attention has slowed, the recovery efforts are still underway. To show our support for our neighbors, the Midland Chamber has chosen to participate in a statewide “Adopt-A-Chamber” program. We have chosen to adopt the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce. Orange, Texas, is located on the Gulf Coast and the border of Louisiana, along Interstate 10.

The Chamber itself experienced extreme flooding, necessitating a complete “gut” of the offices. Fortunately, staff has been able to operate out of a local bank office, and they have begun the process of demolition and repair to the Chamber offices. Unfortunately, the staff has already received notification from several members that they are closing their business permanently. Furthermore, a number of businesses will be unable to pay their annual dues while rebuilding. In an effort to allow the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce to continue operating at a high level and serve its current members, the Midland Chamber of Commerce asked our members to “adopt” their Chamber for one year.

Thank you to the following businesses for their support of our fellow chamber:
