    Job Summary

    Work with admitted students to complete enrollment requirements and obtain needed information in order to register successfully. Navigate roster of students through all aspects of enrollment with enthusiasm, exceptional communication, engagement, outreach and attention to detail.

    Required Qualifications

    Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the College’s mission and the needs of students, and a passion for helping students realize their educational goals

    Bachelor’s degree

    Minimum two years of closely related experience

    Demonstrated ability to use technology in the enrollment navigation process

    Detail-oriented and organized

    Strong interpersonal communication competence both written and oral

    Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively with multiple priorities

    Ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate

    Excellent record-keeping skills

    Ability to take feedback from manager through coaching sessions then generate positive results

    Exemplary computer proficiency including email, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite

    Strong public relations skills

    Energetic and enthusiastic

    Customer-service oriented

    Must possess a valid Texas Driver License, good driving record, and be
    insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy

    Preferred Qualifications

    Prior experience working with higher education database software

    Previous higher education student services experience and/or case management experience

    Past experience using Salesforce or other customer tracking software program

    Bilingual language skills

    Essential Functions

    Employ technology and strategies to help students navigate through the enrollment and registration process

    Contact assigned roster of admitted students to set up initial and follow-up appointments, using Who’s Next software (or EX CRM)

    Provide guidance and support through the enrollment process assisting students as needed with the submission of required documentation and completion of pre-registration activities

    Confirm residency; if issue or concern have student complete paperwork for review and upload paperwork

    Ensure students have a plan to pay with estimated costs assisting with FAFSA initial application and Academic Works

    Track and monitor student progress on roster

    Follow communication plan to keep student momentum moving, assisting students as needed to overcome enrollment obstacles

    Provide timely responses to emails and phone calls

    Clearly communicate enrollment requirements and refer to campus resources as needed to ensure student success

    Maintain a demeanor of service, professionalism, and positivity at all times

    Strive to meet enrollment goals and conversion rates

    Focus on daily metrics for call volume and contacts

    Cultivate connections with students to keep them engaged in the process

    Practice the coaching model to identify student issues and set goals for 

    Implement an effective student-centered enrollment navigation process for admitted students as part of a comprehensive enrollment navigation plan

    Participate and contribute to a creative, dynamic, and productive team culture that delivers excellent customer service and personal attention to students and parents

    Develop and conduct programs and workshops to assist students and parents through the enrollment process

    Participate in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position and professional interests

    Participate in the development of outcomes for the enrollment navigation area, implement strategies to achieve those outcomes and follow plan of action for improvements based on the assessment of those outcomes

    Support the mission, vision, and values of the College and attend College events and meetings

    Develop and demonstrate competence in the following areas: 
    o Apply Texas app
    o FAFSA
    o Academic Works
    o Bacterial meningitis requirements
    o Texas Success Initiative (TSI)
    o Engagement
    o Interpersonal skills
    o Be well informed on all MC programs and offerings (general brochure plus campus buildings academics, CE)
    o Develop, implement and evaluate prospective conversion strategies

    Establish and maintain relationships with area school districts; foster strong relationships between the college and area high school counselors

    Physical Demands

    Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds

    Must be able to work extended hours as needed

    Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

    Use of manual dexterity

    Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

    Work mostly performed indoors, some outdoors

    Attendance at Midland College or community events will be required

    Work both an campus and off campus

    Travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town may be required

    Min Salary 2935.00 per month
    Max Salary 3041.67 per month
    Pay Statement Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
