Library adjust hours, expands services available
Midland County Public Libraries (MCPL) are adjusting business hours to better meet the needs of patrons. Beginning Monday, October 5, both library locations will open to the public from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm Saturdays.
The libraries also will resume some services that have been unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions. Patrons will now have access to printing and copying services for a nominal fee at both locations. Faxing is available only at the Centennial Library. Both libraries will resume notary services and proctoring services will be available by appointment only.
Curbside checkout services will continue at the Downtown Library and the Bookmobile will continue offering free WiFi and checkouts at locations around town including Dennis the Menace and CJ Kelly Park, Casa de Amigos, and Midland Park Mall.
MCPL continues to offer free WiFi, public computer usage, and free library card sign-ups at both locations and on the library website. Patrons with a library card have access to the library’s physical collection of books, DVDs, and audiobooks as well as a multitude of digital resources including online libraries of ebooks, audiobooks, music, and movies.
