    BUSH TENNIS CENTER TO HOST “BEST OF THE WEST WEEKEND” FEATURING FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENTS BENEFITTING LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

    PAT GREEN BAND TO HEADLINE SATURDAY NIGHT CONCERT

    Midland, Texas— The Bush Tennis Center (BTC) will host the “Best of the West Weekend” presented by Pioneer Natural Resources, Apache Corporation, KCIKS 99.1 and KMID on October 4th – 6th, 2019. The weekend festivities will include several events that benefit local nonprofit organizations and will conclude Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. with a concert featuring the Pat Green Band. “We are excited to host an event that supports and recognizes the work of our first responders and several outstanding nonprofit organizations,” says Tim Stallard, Executive Director of Bush Tennis Center. “Their commitment and work improves the quality of life for so many throughout the Permian Basin.” The Bush Tennis Center is located at 5700 Briarwood Avenue, Midland, TX 79707.

    The weekend will kick off at 8:30 a.m. October 4th with the Valor Farm Eagles & Aces of Golf Tournament presented by Apache and hosted by Ranchland Golf Club located at 1600 East Wadley Avenue, Midland, TX 79705. The shotgun golf tournament will consist of teams comprised of first responders and event sponsors.     On Saturday, October 5th at 8:30 a.m., lace up your running shoes and bring your favorite furry friend to Bush Tennis Center for the Henry Resources Forever Home 5k & Pet Parade benefitting the Midland Humane Coalition (MHC). To register for the 5k or parade, please visit midlandathleticcompany.com. Immediately following the 5k and parade, please join us for a live MHC rescue adoption party starting at 9:30 a.m. at Bush Tennis Center. For tennis enthusiasts, BTC will host the Pat Green/USTA Adult & Junior Tennis Tournament on October 5th – 6th. Please sign up for the tennis tournament at usta.com.
    The fun will continue Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at BTC with the BBQ Cook-Off & Tailgate presented by Alderson Mercedes-Benz benefitting the Bynum School. Enjoy great food and watch college football.


    Then at 8:00 p.m., enjoy Texas country music star Pat Green as he performs at BTC. “I’m looking forward to returning to Bush Tennis Center again this year to help support the outreach programs that help so many kids throughout West Texas,” said Pat Green.     George W. Bush and the Bush family. The mission of the Bush Tennis Center is to provide everyone the
    opportunity to experience the game of tennis, regardless of physical, financial or geographical barriers.
    Through BTC outreach programs, more than 26,000 children throughout the Permian Basin have had the
    opportunity to learn the sport of tennis. This year, the ACE outreach program (Advise-Counsel-
    Encourage) will visit more than 30 schools and provide free tennis and educational programs to over
    12,000 children. Upon its completion, the Bush Tennis Center will be the second largest tennis center in
    the world with an estimated annual economic impact of over $43 million per year to the Permian Basin
