Leadership Midland
Leadership Midland is a program initiated by the Midland Chamber of Commerce to develop community leaders.
Our community has grown by leaps and bounds and with that, the face of leadership has changed, as have the needs of our community.
With over 1,300 graduates, the footprints of this program can be seen throughout Midland.

Program Overview
Our program is the most engaging and comprehensive leadership tool to date. Whatever you have heard about Leadership Midland in the past, this is much more -- more knowledge, more commitment, more achievement.
Year One
Frequency
- Meets one day per month
- Classes are usually the 2nd Thursday of each month*
- 9 AM to 4 PM from September to May
Curriculum
- Focuses on familiarizing students with the various agencies that provide services to our community.
- Site visits help students become aware of the roles, challenges, and impact of both nonprofit organizations and government institutions that are purposed for increasing the quality of life.
- From hospital tours to key infrastructure facilities, participants get a first-hand look at how each of these entities operates and the relationship each has with the other.

Year Two
Frequency
- Meets one day per month
- Classes are usually the 2nd Wednesday of each month*

- Current Community Issues: Discussion of timely, relevant concerns within our city. Issue experts are part of these conversations to provide a maximum amount of insight.
- Community Involvement Presentation: Discussion and problem solving for community organizations stem from the class-led presentations over organizations class members are involved with.Â
