Name: 2018 Face the Race 5k
Date: November 17, 2018
Event Description:

Face the Race is an after-school program for junior high girls, held at all four Midland ISD Junior High Schools.  Through the 8-week program, each participant has the opportunity to be mentored by members of the Junior League of Midland.  At the conclusion of the program, they will be challenged with the goal of finishing our 5K race.  Its focus includes physical fitness, goal setting, women's health and wellness, self-esteem, career education and other relevant topics for this age group.  The girls walk away with priceless relationships and friendships, valuable education and the accomplishment of achieving a goal.  Every young lady that completes the program receives a pair of running shoes and running gear to be used at the race and beyond.  The Face the Race vision fits perfectly into the larger mission of the Junior League of Midland: "Keeping kids in school, every age, every stage."

Why Run Face the Race?
Running Face the Race alongside these amazing young ladies shows them how much their community loves and supports them.  Help us celebrate them achieve their goals by making it to the finish line!  The proceeds from Face the Race go back to the Junior League of Midland to help support Face the Race and our other great community projects.
Participants will receive a drawstring backpack and t-shirt while supplies last, so sign up early and guarantee your size!
